A Mark Twain National Forest recreation area on the Black River, where six springs push almost 5 million gallons a day into a 2-acre mill pond. M. J. Markham ran a lumber mill here from 1901 into the 1930s; the restored late-1930s stone Fuchs House is now a rental cabin. Short trails (Bubble Springs, Canebrake, and the 1.7-mile Eagle Bluff Trail), a campground with electric and riverside primitive sites (May–October), and year-round day use with picnic areas and a pavilion. Day use is $5 per vehicle.
